9 ^aProclaim this among the nations:
^bPrepare for holy war; ^cstir up the warriors!
Have all the soldiers come forward, have them come up!
10 ^dBeat your plowshares into swords,
And your pruning hooks into spears;
^eLet the weak man say, “I am a warrior.”
11 ^{▼▼Or Come help
,} ^gHurry and come, all you surrounding nations,
And gather yourselves there.
Bring down, Lord, Your ^hwarriors.
12 Let the nations be awakened
And come up to the ⁱValley of ^{▼▼I.e., YHWH judges}Jehoshaphat,
For there I will sit to ^kjudge
All the surrounding nations.
13 ^lPut in the sickle, for the ^mharvest is ripe.
Come, ⁿtread the grapes, for the ^owine press is full;
The vats overflow, for their ^pwickedness is great.
14 ^qMultitudes, multitudes in the ^rvalley of ^{▼▼I.e., God’s verdict}decision!
For the ^tday of the Lord is near in the valley of ^{▼▼I.e., God’s verdict}decision.
